Animal Medical Center is a compassionate and dedicated veterinary practice committed to providing high-quality care for pets and exceptional service to their owners. We are looking for a reliable, caring, and organized individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist & Kennel Attendant.
Position Overview:
This dual-role position combines front desk responsibilities with hands-on animal care. The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting with clients, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with the daily care of animals in our facility. This is a part time role averaging about 24-28 hours per week. Weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
- Greet clients and pets in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries
- Process payments and maintain accurate client records
- Manage front desk organization and cleanliness
Kennel Attendant Duties:
- Feed, water, walk, and monitor animals in the clinic
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Assist with bathing and basic grooming as needed
- Observe animal behavior and report concerns to veterinary staff
- Help restrain animals safely during procedures when required
- General cleaning of hospital
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or animal care preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
