About the Opportunity
Join our Grand Rapids, MI team to ensure every outbound order moves flawlessly—from paperwork to pickup to delivery. You'll be the connective tissue between carriers, suppliers, and the warehouse, driving accuracy, speed, and service.
What You'll Own
- Shipping Coordination: Manage the full shipping lifecycle and on-time execution.
- Documentation: Prepare bills of lading, labels, and customs forms with zero errors.
- Scheduling & Dispatch: Arrange pickups/deliveries; communicate clear instructions to carriers.
- Tracking & Issue Resolution: Monitor freight status and remedy transit exceptions.
- Records & Inventory: Keep shipment and inventory records accurate and current.
- Warehouse Partnership: Align on order readiness, staging, and loading priorities.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks; implement enhancements for efficiency.
- Inventory Support: Assist with replenishment and related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Chauffeur's license required.
- Box truck driving experience required.
- Experience in shipping/logistics/supply chain.
- Detail-focused, organized, and clear communicator.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel) and shipping platforms.
- Works well independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and customs procedures is advantageous.
