We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our production team . The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating and machining parts with a focus on precision and quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating machinery to produce high-quality parts, following blueprints and CAD designs, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize production for the day, week, month meeting the targeted delivery date.
- Read drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Operate lathes, end mill, bench grinders, drill presses, and other equipment to machine or finish the products to proper dimensions as needed.
- Tools selection and use in the Lathes and machining equipment.
- Use indicators, caliper, measuring tape and other gauges used by machinists to ensure parts are running true. Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping per the drawings.
- Selects appropriate machine and tool settings and sets up a part for a given task and ensures part meets all the specified tolerances in the drawing. Use the equipment in a correct way, according to the established process, never damaging the equipment.
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment with the right level of quality.
- Monitoring of part machining or finishing and adjusts feed rates, tool changing and other settings, as necessary.
- Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
- Maintain all equipment in optimal condition. Basic knowledge of level 1 maintenance to perform day to day prechecks and post checks as needed and to identify any potential mechanical issues related to equipment ahead of time and report to maintenance dept.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation, area and department.
- Wear the correct PPE as needed in every task to be completed. Do not incur in any unsafe act, do not generate unsafe conditions and eliminate any risk for his/her own, any other employee, damage to the equipment and to the building.

Machinist Qualifications/Skills:
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in math
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks which includes standing for longer periods of time.
- Programming CNC lathes is considered a plus.
- Communication skills. Collaborator and Team player.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience working with machine tools.
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
- Apprenticeship or vocational training a plus.
- Programming CNC lathes is considered a plus.
- Experience in using any software’s to generate G codes is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $30.00 per hour
