Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team on first shift. In this vital journey level role, you will be responsible for performing intermediate-level skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role supports production operations by minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring safe working conditions. The technician works independently on routine and moderately complex repairs and assists senior technicians with advanced mechanical and electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical & Systems Repair: Performs skilled tasks in electrical (up to 480v), hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration.
- Preventative Maintenance: Executes scheduled inspections and maintenance on machinery and facilities to ensure safe operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnoses complex issues using diagnostic tools, blueprints, and schematics.
- Building Trades: Completes carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and welding/fabrication.
- Record Keeping: Maintains accurate logs of work orders using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Mentorship: Provides technical guidance and training to Maintenance Tech 1 staff.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5-8 years of proven industrial or building maintenance experience.
- Ability to access PLCs and follow the program in real time preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined space. Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Proficiency in English with strong analysis skills for diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
