Junior Account Executive – NY/NJ Metro
The Opportunity
Join an industry giant and a staple of the Northeast distribution landscape for over 100 years. Our client specializes in high-end food service disposables, custom packaging, and janitorial solutions, serving the most iconic restaurants, hotels, and venues across the New York and New Jersey metro areas. We are seeking a high-energy, local "hunter" to grow and manage an active NJ/NY book of business while aggressively expanding our footprint in one of the world's most competitive hospitality markets.
Role Overview
- Location: NY/NJ Metro Area (Reporting to Bayonne, NJ hub)
- Compensation: $60,000 – $85,000 Base Salary Uncapped Commission
- Target Total Earnings: $110,000 (First Year)
- Start Date: April 13, 2026
Key Objectives
- NY/NJ Market Expansion: Identify and capture new business within the vibrant restaurant and hospitality sectors of Manhattan, the Five Boroughs, and Northern NJ.
- Local Relationship Building: Conduct on-site consultations to provide high-touch service that digital competitors can’t match.
- Sustainability Leadership: Drive the adoption of eco-friendly packaging and compliant disposables tailored to local NY/NJ environmental regulations.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Face-to-Face Sales: Maintain high visibility with accounts through weekly on-site visits and product demonstrations.
- Inventory Consulting: Analyze client usage patterns to introduce new product lines, such as custom-branded takeout containers or specialized cleaning chemicals.
- Territory Management: Use CRM tools to map out and dominate your assigned NY/NJ sub-territory, ensuring maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of B2B sales experience. Specific knowledge of the NY/NJ hospitality or food service market is a major plus (Experience with Driscoll or Sysco is highly valued).
- Logistics: Must have reliable transportation for regional travel across the metro area and be able to commute to the Bayonne, NJ hub.
- The Right Fit: We need a "street-smart" negotiator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable walking into both a busy kitchen and a corporate boardroom.
