A well-established engineering firm is seeking a Land Development Division Manager to lead and grow its Central Texas Community Infrastructure division. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional who is ready to take ownership of team development, client relationships, business development, project delivery, and division growth.


The Opportunity

As Division Manager, you will play a key role in expanding the firm's presence across the Central Texas market. You will work closely with clients, engineers, subconsultants, and internal leadership while building and developing a high-performing land development team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, grow, and mentor a dedicated land development engineering team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with public and private-sector clients.
  • Drive business development, market expansion, and client development throughout Central Texas.
  • Manage and oversee private and municipal land development projects from planning through delivery.
  • Provide leadership on commercial, residential, multifamily, industrial, mixed-use, K-12, public facility, and utility projects.
  • Support proposals, qualifications packages, marketing initiatives, and project pursuits.
  • Assist with project planning, staffing, monthly billing, and financial performance.
  • Oversee division profitability, operational performance, and strategic growth.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to maintain quality, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Mentor and develop staff while supporting long-term team growth.
  • Maintain a strong presence within the local civil engineering and development community.


Qualifications

  • Texas PE license required, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
  • Strong background in private land development and/or municipal infrastructure.
  • Proven experience with business development and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, project management, and industry standards.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and loss prevention.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, engineers, government agencies, public officials, and internal teams.
  • Must be local to Texas and able to work on-site.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet driving record requirements.
