Job Title: Registered Nurse, Med Surg Adult, Critical Access Hospital RN
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Adult unit of a Critical Access Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients requiring medical-surgical intervention. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions for adult patients in the medical-surgical unit.
2. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
3. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
4. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
5. Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatments, and self-care practices.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and outcomes.
7. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
