Job Title: Critical Care (CCU) RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCU RN) to join our team at our busy critical care unit. The CCU RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients who are critically ill, requiring constant monitoring and specialized treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and telemetry readings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
- Perform procedures such as intubations, ventilator management, and arterial line insertions
- Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support interventions
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
- Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately and timely
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
