Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our medical team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood from patients and preparing it for various medical tests. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on patient care and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Draw blood from patients using venipuncture or fingerstick methods.
2. Properly label and prepare blood samples for testing.
3. Keep accurate records of blood samples collected and processed.
4. Ensure patient comfort and safety during blood draw procedures.
5. Follow proper infection control guidelines and protocols.
6. Provide excellent customer service to patients and colleagues.
7. Assist with other medical tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Certification in phlebotomy from an accredited program.
3. Previous experience as a Phlebotomist preferred.
4. Excellent venipuncture skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
8. Basic computer skills.
