Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Job Summary
The Operating Room RN is responsible for providing nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role ensures a sterile environment, assists surgeons, and monitors patient safety throughout the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating room for surgical procedures (equipment, instruments, supplies)
Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
Assist surgeons during operations (scrubbing, circulating)
Monitor patient vitals and condition throughout surgery
Administer medications and anesthesia support (as required)
Coordinate with surgical team members (surgeons, anesthesiologists, technicians)
Ensure proper documentation of procedures and patient records
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
Certification in BLS/ACLS (preferred)
Certification in CNOR (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience Required
2 years of experience in Operating Room / Surgical Nursing
Experience in handling surgical equipment and procedures
