Litigation Attorney – Personal Injury
A nationally recognized, award‑winning plaintiff litigation firm representing tens of thousands of clients nationwide is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its Houston, Texas office. The firm focuses on personal injury, civil litigation, and mass torts, including product liability, dangerous drugs, and defective medical products.
This is a full‑time, in‑house position based out of the firm’s Houston, TX office.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of personal injury litigation experience, strong research and drafting skills, and hands‑on experience managing cases through all phases of litigation. Workers’ compensation experience and Spanish bilingual capability are a plus. The role involves managing a high‑volume caseload in a fast‑paced litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle personal injury litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Take and defend depositions
- Represent clients in hearings and other legal proceedings
- Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and case evaluations
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients
- Manage a high‑volume caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
Qualifications
- Active Texas Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of experience in all aspects of personal injury litigation
- Workers’ compensation experience is a plus
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures from pleadings through trial
- Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions
- Excellent oral advocacy, writing, and legal research skills
- Strong case evaluation and analytical abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume litigation environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
