The Role -Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Materials Planner to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.The Materials Planner will manage the complete materials control function in the business unit. This includes new order acceptance, capacity requirements planning, machine center loading, materials requirement planning of purchased and manufactured components and prioritizing of work schedule.The key responsibilities of the Materials Planner include, but are not limited to:Reviews each order as they are placed to determine where and how it should be scheduled to achieve customer requirementsCoordinates activities of planning, purchasing and manufacturing to maximize the effective loading and scheduling of the business unitEvaluates capacity requirements and advises Business Unit Operations Manager of forecasted loadSchedules, prioritizes and follows contracts throughout the area and coordinates with supervision and process engineering to ensure that schedules are attainedPerforms related clerical duties such as log-in/out of production contractsResponsible for the integrity of front sheets, prints and engineering changes on the floorMakes recommendations for improving production flow and operating efficienciesSalary: $50,000 - $70,000Location -Sidney, NY30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NYThe Person -The key skills and qualities of a Materials Planner at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field OR High school education plus 4-6 years related experience in the Materials Department or equivalent education/ work experienceWorking knowledge of Data 3 preferredExcellent interpersonal skills and adept at both oral and written communicationsConfidentialityBeing a team playerAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentFrequent sitting, standing, and walkingContinuously required to move about the facility.Occasional domestic and international travel may be required between operations and to customersThe Company -With manufacturing sites in Sidney, NY, Mesa, AZ, Nogales, MX, and a Design Center in Pasadena, CA, Amphenol Aerospace Operations has been a leader in designing and manufacturing electrical components for the aviation and commercial airplane industry for over 100 years.Focusing on serving the needs of advanced and challenging market segments, we pride ourselves on our consistent ability to innovate and provide the markets with new creative solutions.Working at Amphenol means you are recognized and valued for your contributions because we believe that our human capital is the most valuable asset we have.
