Materials Planner, Critical Accounts

The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Materials Planner, Critical Accounts to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The Materials Planner, Critical Accounts will ensure critical customer orders move quickly and accurately through the factory. This role monitors order status, coordinates across three manufacturing sites, removes bottlenecks, and is committed to meeting critical customer need dates.

The key responsibilities of the Materials Planner, Critical Accounts include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and expedite components through MRP w/ Operations, Planning, and Purchasing
• Manage cross functional issues with Engineering, Process and Quality
• Track key metrics pertinent to critical customer execution: on time delivery, cycle time, pieces to stock
• Prepare and maintain milestones for part numbers and programs
• Provide proactive updates on promise dates, risks, and recovery plans
• Trigger escalation paths, implement prevention plans, and drive root-case analysis for missed commitments
  
  

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000

• 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
• 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY
  

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Materials Planner, Critical Accounts at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, business, or equivalent preferred
• 2-5 years in manufacturing operations, or operational support, will be considered in lieu of degree
• Knowledge of MRP and manufacturing knowledge is preferred
• Project management, strong communication (written and verbal), and productivity tool (excel) skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• This position requires ownership, cross-functional collaboration, customer focus, and data-driven thinking
• Walking and standing approximately 30% of time within facilities
• Travel required, less than 10%
