AMI is expanding with new divisions and seeks a skilled Utility Crew. This essential, dynamic role involves expertly managing utility operations, primarily raising or lowering utility structures (like castings or precast tops) to align precisely with the adjacent grade, pavement, or curb.
Job Responsibilities:
- Raise, lower, and reset manhole frames and covers to finished grade
- Install precast or adjustable grade rings
- Set castings using non-shrink grout, mortar, or concrete
- Remove and replace existing frames, covers, and adjustment rings
- Ensure castings are level, stable, and flush with surrounding pavement
- Coordinate with paving, concrete, and milling crews
- Perform minor concrete and asphalt restoration around structures
- Maintain job site safety and cleanup
- Follow municipal standards, project plans, and safety regulations
- Report issues, material needs, and progress to supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Needed:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience with casting/manhole adjustments.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Available to work weekends.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as a Skid Steer, Grader, Paver, or Roller is a plus.
Pay: $ $27.00 per hour
