American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with ASHA CCC-SLP certification for a 13-week hospital-based assignment in Spearfish, SD, covering primarily outpatient speech therapy with occasional inpatient support.
Details- Primarily outpatient speech therapy setting with occasional inpatient coverage (estimated 1–2 inpatient visits per month)
- Treats patients across the lifespan, from early childhood through end of life
- Main focus areas include speech and language, voice, swallowing/feeding, cognitive-linguistic communication, fluency, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Ability to perform videofluoroscopic swallow studies in the radiology department is a plus, though swallow study coverage is not expected to be a primary need
- Epic EMR; experience strongly preferred
- Uses Dragon dictation software and standard speech therapy equipment
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required; CF-SLP designation alone is not accepted
- South Dakota (SD) state SLP licensure required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a licensed SLP
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- Experience with videofluoroscopic swallow evaluations preferred
- 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- SLP operates with a high degree of independence; there is only one other SLP in the Northern Hills market
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply

- Gray scrubs required
