Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant position requiring proficient endoscopic vein harvesting skills and significant cardiovascular OR experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
- Day shift schedule, available as either 8-hour (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) or 10-hour (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) shifts, 40 hours per week
- Call requirement of 12–18 days per month
- Weekend requirement of 2–3 weekends per month
- Floating required to general department FA coverage, including orthopedic, vascular, gynecologic, thoracic, and general surgeries when not assigned to cardiac cases
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Active RN license required; STFA or RNFA credentials accepted
- Proficient endoscopic vein harvesting skills required
- CVOR experience required
- Minimum 5 years of experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
Additional Information
- Perform surgical first assistant duties across cardiovascular and general surgical cases
- Must demonstrate proficiency ratings of 3 or higher in vein harvesting and cardiac areas
