Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Wound Care position requiring at least 3 years of experience, wound care certification, and an AZ or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Wound Care unit
- Patient population spans all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license, currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Wound Care Certification from ABWM or NAWCO required; pending certification may be considered for candidates with exceptionally strong wound care and ostomy skills
- Minimum 3 years of wound care experience required
Additional Information
- Functions independently managing consults, wound assessment, staging, and treatment plan recommendations
- Strong documentation skills in Epic are essential to this role
- Expected to serve as a subject matter expert and actively educate staff on wound care practices
- Excellent collaboration skills required given the consult-based nature of the role
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
