Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 18 months of experience, Cerner proficiency, and night shift availability.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit (2E overflow) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a, working 4x12-hour shifts per week
- Cerner EMR charting experience required
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IN RN license or Compact RN license required; temporary IN license accepted if in hand by start date
- Current BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 18 months to 2 years of RN experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned based on operational needs; training and resources will be provided
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this position; this restriction does not apply to Periop/OR, Allied, or Ambulatory RN roles
