Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg or Stepdown experience, Epic proficiency, and comfort with critical care drips and BiPAP.
Details
- Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving an acute patient population
- Patient population includes critical care drips/gtts and BiPAP management
- Floating to the ER is required; candidates must be comfortable with this expectation
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active IA RN license (or compact RN license) currently in hand; an IL RN license is also required for IL-based placements — candidates without an active IA license must provide proof of application for an IA single-state or compact license
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Stepdown RN experience required
- Experience managing critical care drips/gtts and BiPAP required
- Epic EMR experience required
- One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Valid Driver's License required for consideration

- Candidates must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates may be considered at some locations
- Trauma designations vary by location: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 trauma centers are represented across the health system
- Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
- Candidates who were employed by this health system within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
