Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Cardiology Clinic position in Boston, MA, requiring at least 1 year of ambulatory experience and a cardiac nursing background.
Details
- Ambulatory cardiology clinic setting supporting a Heart Transplant and VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) team
- Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 40 hours per week
- Responsibilities include triaging patient phone calls and messages for the Heart Transplant and VAD team
- Outpatient-focused role involving lab and diagnostic result follow-up, post-hospitalization discharge review, and appointment coordination
- No floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of ambulatory/clinic nursing experience required
- Prior cardiac nursing experience required
- Experience with heart transplant or VAD device management is strongly preferred
- COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions permitted)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical exemptions permitted)
Additional Information
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams for safe patient management
- Coordinate with administrative staff for outpatient appointment scheduling
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local candidates are not accepted
- Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
