Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required ARDMS and RVT credentials for a 4-week evening shift contract in Berlin, VT.
Details
- Community-based hospital ultrasound department serving a general patient population with routine exams
- General ultrasound position that includes vascular sonography
- Ultrasound equipment includes 2x GE Logiq E10 and 2x Samsung WS80A
- Epic is the facility's EMR system
- 8-hour evening shifts, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
- Weekend call rotation only: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, approximately every 4th–5th weekend
- Holiday on-call coverage required (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
- Floating within radiology may be required (fluoroscopy, OR, off-site locations, etc.)
- Floating and charge duties are not required for this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience, including vascular sonography
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN required
- RVT credential required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- At least 2 supervisor or manager references required (1 from within the past 6 months, 1 from within the past year of employment)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Prior travel experience is not required
Additional Information
- Performs routine general ultrasound and vascular sonography exams in a community hospital setting
- Department has 40 staff members
- Scrubs in any color are required; closed-toe, non-slip shoes required; minimal jewelry; groomed hair and beard; no artificial nails
- A personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates are accepted
- Pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility: travel rate applies for candidates 101 miles away, radius rate for 51–100 miles, and local rate for 50 miles or less
- Candidates must have a flexible schedule; no block scheduling is permitted for any reason
- This facility is strict about submission completeness — all employment history gaps over 90 days must be explained, and full work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) are required
