Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MA RN license, Level 1 trauma experience, and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department within a Level 1 trauma center
- State-of-the-art ED with 44 beds across 45,000 sq ft, including a fast-track area, behavioral health suite, imaging suite, pharmacy, and private treatment rooms
- Floating required between the Peabody campus and the main Burlington campus
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend required
- 2 holiday shifts required
- Charting is performed in Epic
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma center experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions accepted)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical exemptions accepted)
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute injuries and medical emergencies requiring immediate attention
- Pass/fail competency test administered on Day 1 of orientation; study guides provided during onboarding
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
- All previous Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) employees — including travel, per diem, and permanent staff — must have a minimum 6-month break from any BILH facility before being considered
- Excessive time off requests, particularly around holidays, will not be considered
- First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible — prior ED travel or contract experience is recommended given the Level 1 trauma requirement
