American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) for a 13-week Operating Room assignment at a major academic Level IV Trauma Center in West Virginia, requiring robotics, thoracic, and urology experience.

• 30-bed adult Operating Room unit at a large acute care teaching hospital (838 staffed beds)
• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital; member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
• Schedule options: 4x10-hour shifts (6:45–17:15) or 3x12-hour shifts (6:45–19:15)
• On-call required on a rotating self-schedule basis, including weekday evenings and weekends
• Floating is not required
• Charting via Cerner
• Required skills: robotics, urology, and thoracic surgery
• Preferred skills: general OR experience

• Active WV or compact RN license required; candidates may be submitted with a pending license but must have an active license prior to start
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Hands-on robotics, urology, and thoracic OR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); medical exemption with documentation from an allergist or physician may be accepted

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 2 years after their last day worked before being eligible as a traveler
• Credentialing through Medical Affairs is required and typically takes 30–60 days; candidates must have a flexible start date to accommodate this process
• No RTO restrictions
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White (RN)
