Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Main ED position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience, pediatric ED skillset, and multiple advanced certifications including TNCC, ENPC, and PALS.
Details
- Main Emergency Department in a combined adult/pediatric setting
- Patient population spans all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), TNCC, ENPC, and PALS
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required (hard stop)
- Pediatric ED skillset required; strong pediatric experience in a mixed adult/pedi ED may be considered in lieu of dedicated peds ED experience
- Required skills include: general ED (combined adult/pedi), dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV starts, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and triage
- First-time travelers will not be considered (hard stop)
- Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Preferred certifications include CPI and PCAR
- Preferred experience includes Level I Trauma Center, arterial line management, central line care/management, neurological and ortho-trauma cases, head injury, near drowning, spinal cord injury, ABG interpretation, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputation
- Blackout RTO dates apply: 5/22–5/25 and 7/2–7/5
