American Traveler is seeking a licensed RN for a Long Term Care (LTC) night shift position in Wrangell, Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

• Long term care (LTC) setting within a medical center environment
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract

• Active Alaska (AK) RN license currently in hand — required for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT
• Flu vaccine required
• Two fingerprint cards must be provided upon acceptance

• Coordinates nursing care procedures for LTC residents of various ages, incorporating individualized care plans, physician orders, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Responsible for delegation and supervision of CNAs, LPNs, and Ward Clerks during assigned shifts
• May serve as charge nurse for the LTC unit when the DON is not physically present
• Conducts nursing assessments, documents findings in the EHR, and writes progress notes and shift reports
• Participates in care conferences, staff meetings, in-service education, and ongoing competency checks
• Provides resident and family education including discharge planning and health promotion
• Floating to other units may be required to support nursing services as needed
