Job Summary:
The Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Wrangell, Alaska. This role involves coordinating nursing care procedures for residents of various ages within a long-term care setting. The RN will participate in patient and family teaching, provide clinical leadership, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high standards of care. Candidates are required to bring their active Alaska nursing license on the first day of work.

- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in clinical decision making, infection control measures, medication administration, patient assessment, and healthcare team communication; leadership experience in a nursing environment.
- Additional Information: This position requires adherence to facility-specific policies, including providing discharge information, developing patient/family education plans, and participating in mandatory training and competency checks. The role may involve acting as charge nurse when Director of Nursing (DON) is unavailable, and the candidate must be capable of making sound clinical judgments independently during shifts.
