Description
American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN for a 13-week travel assignment in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting, requiring an Alaska LPN license and at least 1 year of nursing experience.
Details
- Long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) unit
- Works with a resident population in a wellness-focused long-term care environment
- 12-hour shifts, any day Sunday through Saturday
- On-call availability required as needed
- Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
Requirements
- Current Alaska LPN license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care nursing experience preferred
- Associate's degree in nursing required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Epic EMR experience beneficial given system in use
- Availability for any 12-hour shift, Sunday through Saturday, including on-call as needed
Additional Information
- Provides clinical leadership to Resident Assistants, including coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Follows individualized resident care plans and is responsible for accurate, timely medication administration and prescribed order management
- Practices the facility's 'Choices Philosophy of Care,' emphasizing resident dignity, respect, and quality of life
- Adheres to safety standards including universal precautions, infection control, and bloodborne pathogen protocols
- Online modules must be completed prior to starting the assignment
- COVID vaccination or a signed declination form is required; unvaccinated staff must wear masks while on site
