American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract requiring an active MI RN license, Xi robotics experience, and experience across at least 5 surgical specialties.

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting running 4–6 ORs daily
• Case mix is approximately 80% outpatient and 20% inpatient
• Surgical specialties include general, GYN, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endoscopy, neurology (primarily spine with possible on-call craniotomy), and pain management
• Patient population spans pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Average daily census of 15–30 patients
• Special equipment includes Hana table (fractures and joint replacements), Jackson table (neuro and pain management), Olympus endoscopy equipment, and Storz video equipment
• Two Da Vinci Xi robotic systems used across multiple specialties
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• On-call required: 2–4 weekday call shifts and 1–2 weekend call shifts per 6-week period
• Floating to a secondary location (Hickman) required as needed

• Active MI RN license currently in hand is required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Experience in at least 5 of the following specialties required: general, ortho (spine and joints), urology, endoscopy, neuro, GYN, bariatrics, and ENT
• Da Vinci Xi robotics experience required
• EMR/charting experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Floating to the Hickman location is required as needed
• A strong teamwork approach and adherence to behavioral expectations are essential
• Call-off policy is strictly enforced
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
