American Traveler is seeking a MRI Technologist with 5 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Temple, TX, working weekends and Monday evenings in a clinic setting serving inpatient and outpatient populations.

• Clinic setting serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Imaging/MRI department
• Patient population spans all age groups: newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric
• Siemens MRI equipment experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, Monday 10:30 AM–11:00 PM
• On-call may be required per facility needs

• Minimum of 5 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• Active BLS certification (AHA only)
• ARRT-MR certification required
• ARMRIT certification required
• TX-MRT license required if applicable
• Active TX state license required as applicable to the profession
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Date of birth and SSN required for consideration

• Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to established exam protocols under the general supervision of a Radiologist
• Positions patients, adjusts immobilization devices, and sets exposure factors for each procedure
• Screens individuals prior to entering the MRI suite per approved safety policies and procedures
• Obtains and verifies relevant documentation including patient history, pregnancy status, consent forms, and shielding precautions
• Maintains imaging records in the appropriate system in accordance with department policies and standards
• Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance and reports equipment issues as needed
• May serve as a preceptor, providing training to new team members and on new services and initiatives
• Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions; flu season requirements typically apply August through November
• Scrubs in any solid color or appropriate print are required and must be purchased by the candidate
