Description
American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN with a current NY license and at least 1 year of experience for a long-term care assignment at a rehab and nursing center specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care.
Details
- Work in a 300-bed rehab and nursing center in a long-term care (LTC) unit
- Patient population includes residents with Alzheimer's and dementia
- Primary duties include medication pass (med pass)
- Scheduled for evening shifts (2:30 PM – 11:45 PM), 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- 16-week contract
Requirements
- Current NY LPN/LVN license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
- LTC experience preferred; candidates with rehab, med/surg, or other recent hospital experience will be considered
- Current BLS certification required
- COVID vaccination required
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted
Additional Information
- Uses Point Click Care (PCC) EMR; prior experience not required
- Shift and time-off requests cannot be changed once an offer is accepted — all scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
- Approximately 1.5 weeks to complete compliance onboarding
- Every other weekend coverage required
