Description
American Traveler is hiring a LPN/LVN with SNF/LTC experience and IV skills for a 13-week evening shift assignment at a post-acute long-term care unit using Epic EMR.
Details
- Post-acute care setting in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF)
- 66-bed unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:19–20
- Common respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen; no ventilators or trachs
- Evening shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), 8-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating to other units may be required
- Epic EMR used in this position
- No tele monitoring or call/standby requirement
Requirements
- Current LPN/LVN license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of LPN/LVN experience required
- SNF/LTC experience required
- Basic IV skills required, including starting, hanging, and managing IVs
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Charge nurses on this unit carry a patient assignment
- Nurse aides are present on the unit with varying ratios
- Any scrub color is acceptable
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being eligible to reapply
- Travelers may not work within the WVU system for more than one cumulative year without taking a 2-year break
