American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a day shift position in Charleston, SC, requiring an active SC or compact RN license and AHA certifications.
Details- Interventional Radiology (IR) department within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
- On-call required: one weekday call per rotation, plus Saturday and Sunday call every 6 weeks
- Charting performed in Cerner EMR
- Frequent patient interaction including constant engagement with patients, families, physicians, and other staff
- May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Active RN license in South Carolina or a current compact/multi-state RN license
- Certifications required: BLS and ACLS — both must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing required; BSN highly desired
- Interventional Radiology nursing experience required — this is not an ICU/Critical Care position
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, and stoop
- Ability to lift, move, or carry patients and objects up to 50 lbs intermittently
- Ability to work under stressful conditions, meet deadlines, and manage irregular hours
- Provide nursing care for patients in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act, applying professional nursing theory to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility may remain for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
- Holiday coverage may be required based on departmental needs
- Work environment includes exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and other conditions common to a healthcare setting
