American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Arizona, requiring a valid AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience with a willingness to float to MS/Tele.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 87 staffed beds, designated as a teaching facility and Level IV trauma center
- Assignment in the ICU with required floating to MS/Tele units based on staffing needs
- ICU patient ratio is 1:1-2; MS/Tele ratio is 1:4-5
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Charting via Cerner
- Standard MS/Tele equipment used throughout the units; Liko lifts available in nearly all patient rooms
- No on-call requirements
- Local candidates are accepted
- Blocked scheduling may be considered at unit manager's discretion
- Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact RN license required; candidates with a pending license may be considered
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- ICU and/or PCU experience preferred; strong MS/Tele experience will also be considered
- Cerner EMR experience beneficial given charting system in use
- Must be open to floating between ICU and MS/Tele units as needed
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- Traveler will work in a flex pool capacity, serving both ICU and MS/Tele units based on daily staffing needs
- Well-rounded candidates comfortable across acuity levels are strongly preferred
- Familiarity with BCMA (barcode medication administration) expected in accordance with facility patient safety standards
- Navy blue scrubs required

- RTO requests require unit manager approval and must be submitted upfront
