We're CFI — Concrete Fence Installers — a specialty contractor based in Pomona. We manufacture and install engineered precast concrete wall and fence systems for GCs, developers, and municipalities across Southern California, including Orange County, the Inland Empire, and the greater Los Angeles area. Our clients keep coming back, and we're growing fast — which is why we need an experienced Field Superintendent to help us scale from one crew to three.

What You'll Actually Do

Field Production (80–90% of your time)

• Lead from the job site — you're out there most days, not stuck behind a desk
• Guide crew leads and drive daily production
• Catch problems early and solve them before they become disasters
• Help us build and scale field operations as we grow
• Champion a safety-first culture with regular inspections and full compliance

Project Management (10–20% — yours to own)

This part matters just as much as the field work. You're the one responsible for the numbers and the paperwork on every job you run.

• Own the full budget lifecycle — forecasting, real-time tracking, variance analysis, and corrective action before overruns happen
• Keep the master schedule tight and every crew, activity, and delivery aligned to it
• Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts — clear scope, fair terms, accountability
• Be the go-to point of contact for clients, consultants, GCs, and (on public jobs) government officials
• Allocate labor, materials, and equipment wisely, and get ahead of risks before they hit budget or schedule
• Lead quality control, safety meetings, and inspections
• Stay in sync with our manufacturing team so field needs and production timelines line up
• Report directly to the CEO with real numbers — not just "it's going fine"

Who We're Looking For

• 3 to 7 years managing field operations in the subcontracting or construction industry
• Experience in concrete, masonry, fence, or similar specialty trades is preferred, but not required
• You've worked the trade with your own hands before (or while) moving into supervision — you didn't skip straight from an office to running a crew
• You've grown from foreman to superintendent or PM because you think ahead and lead people, not just because you're great with tools
• Experience running 2–4 crews or managing large jobs solo, budget and schedule included
• A real feel for labor productivity, material flow, and job budgeting — not as an accountant, but because you care about doing the work right and profitably
• Comfortable owning full project budgets: forecasting, tracking, variance analysis
• Solid with blueprint reading and construction management fundamentals (2–4 years)
• Professional communicator with GCs, engineers, and public agency officials when needed
• A self-starter who solves problems and reports results, rather than waiting to be told what to do
• Able to travel between job sites across the SoCal region as needed
