The Disability Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that forms are filled accurately, clearly, and objectively. Theis position involves interacting with patients, medical providers, and various systems to ensure all documentation is correct and compliant with regulations like HIPAA. Minimum Qualifications:High School DiplomaExperience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient care coordination or a similar role.Knowledge of medical insurance processes and patient billing.Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with No Fault and Workers Compensation InsuranceExperience using Criterions EHRPrior Orthopedics ExperienceResponsibilities:Completing and processing forms efficiently and accurately.Extracting required medical information from EHR systems and gathering additional records when necessary.Performing precise data entry and ensuring all details on forms and in tracking logs are correct, with strong attention to detail.Communicating by telephone, email or fax with patients, physicians, insurance companies, and employers to facilitate the paperwork process and provide excellent customer service.
