Finance / Accounting Manager
This role oversees end-to-end financial operations across multiple companies and bank accounts, ensuring accurate cash management, compliance, payroll processing, reporting, and departmental support.
Key Responsibilities
Cash & Banking Management
Monitor daily cash flow across multiple accounts
- Approve ACH, checks, wires, and transfers
- Ensure adequate funds for all payments
- Handle bank deposits, statements, and reconciliations
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain books, process transactions, and reconcile accounts
- Prepare journal entries, month-end close, and financial reports
- Verify accuracy of cash applications and postings
Accounts Payable & Billing
Audit and approve vendor invoices
- Process recurring bills, insurance, customs, and service payments
- Manage credit card accounts and payments
Payroll & Employee-Related Finance
Process biweekly payroll and special payments
- Maintain deductions, insurance updates, and reports
- Prepare bonuses and year-end payroll documentation
Commissions & Reporting
Calculate and distribute monthly commissions
- Produce financial, audit, and management reports as requested
Compliance & Filings
Handle tax filings, 1099s, business licenses, and regulatory reports
- Prepare workers’ compensation renewals and audits
Special Financial Transactions
Manage wires, ACH setups, partner distributions, and fund transfers
- Support property utilities administration when needed
Department Oversight
Supervise A/P, payroll, and accounting functions
- Resolve issues and serve as backup for staff as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is standard, with CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience, with direct experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, and supply chain logistics.
- Mastery of inventory valuation (FIFO, LIFO, Weighted Average), cost of goods sold (COGS), raw materials, and finished goods accounting.
- Advanced skills in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for tracking production and distribution, along with advanced Excel (pivot tables, vLookups).
- Strong ability to generate, analyze, and report on gross margins, variances, and operational expenses.
- Experience supervising accounting staff, managing payroll, and overseeing month-end closing processes.
