Job Summary

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Public Relations Intern to join our PR & Influencer Marketing team at American International Industries. You’ll support various industry-leading beauty and grooming brands, gaining real-world experience in PR strategy, influencer relations, event planning, and product launches. Reporting directly to the PR Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in building and executing influencer and PR campaigns across multiple brands

• Help brainstorm and assemble influencer mailers and product seeding boxes

• Track influencer coverage, social mentions, and press placement performance

• Research trending creators, emerging voices, and viral beauty moments

• Maintain internal PR lists, seeding schedules, and tracking spreadsheets

• Support event preparation, coordination, and day-of execution

• Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, social, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging

• Draft and edit press materials, pitches, and product descriptions

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a looking to break into the PR & Influencer world

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident drafting emails, press releases, and outreach

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities when needed

• Able to commute to the Los Angeles office

• Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; familiarity with PR or influencer platforms is a plus

• Self-starter with a professional, positive, and collaborative attitude

• Passion for beauty, grooming, and digital storytelling

What You’ll Bring

• A recent graduate or early-career professional eager to break into PR and influencer marketing

• Exceptional organization and attention to detail (seriously, you live for a good spreadsheet)

• Strong writing and communication skills — you can craft a killer press release or pitch

• A proactive, persistent attitude and comfort reaching out to creators or press contacts

• Flexibility to pivot quickly in a fast-moving environment

• Based in or able to commute to Los Angeles for on-site work and events

You’ll gain exposure to PR strategy, influencer relations, and product launches across diverse categories: from men’s grooming to professional skincare. This role offers the chance to see how iconic brands connect with audiences, creators, and the press. This is a hands-on role for someone ready to learn, grow, and play an active part in the storytelling behind some of the most recognized brands in beauty and grooming.

This is an in-person internship, Full time 5 days a week. Salary $20.00 - $24.00 /hour
