American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is seeking a Field Service Support Specialist to support our Sales Service team. This role plays a critical part in developing market coverage, supporting business development efforts, and strengthening customer relationships within the overhead crane and hoist industry.

This is a high-visibility position that blends sales support, customer engagement, marketing collaboration, and service coordination - all while operating in a values-driven, safety-focused organization.

What You’ll Do

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Pursue and close sales opportunities, following up on proposals until secured or lost
  • Determine market opportunities within assigned sales territory and develop marketing strategy
  • Prepare proposals and estimates for presentation to customers
  • Perform sales calls (cold and scheduled) and telemarketing when necessary
  • Review available sales lead information and act accordingly
  • Develop strong personal relationships with established clients to secure future business
  • Serve as liaison between customers and company leadership as required


Service & Project Support

  • Provide project support and management to help complete projects on schedule and within budget
  • Support service initiatives and business development activities
  • Provide customer interface as required to support projects
  • Support various service-related initiatives as assigned


Marketing Collaboration

  • Support marketing efforts for new and existing products
  • Identify required marketing materials
  • Assist with development of brochures, digital media, and related materials
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in messaging and market positioning

 

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • High school diploma required
  • Trade school or technical school training, or an associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is not required


Experience

  • Prior electrical or mechanical experience is required
  • Sales-related experience is preferred. Understanding of overhead crane operation is preferred
  • Candidates must demonstrate hands-on technical knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical systems, including the ability to troubleshoot, inspect, and evaluate industrial equipment in field environments


Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required)
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Ability to collaborate with a team while working independently
  • Strong customer service skills, including flexibility to handle calls during nights or weekends as needed


Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license required to drive to customer sites as needed

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
  • Eligibility to access information or technology governed by U.S. export control laws (10 C.F.R. Part 810, EAR, and/or ITAR), where applicable
  • Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and participate in randomized drug testing during employment
  • Ability to meet posted work schedule and required hours, including overtime as needed
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Willingness to wear required PPE when in shop, service, or manufacturing areas
  • Willingness to complete required safety, compliance, and role-specific training
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct aligned with company values and expectations

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

  • Ability to climb access and extension ladders
  • Ability to work safely at varying heights
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and in industrial environments
  • Extensive day and overnight travel required; driving long distances required
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and office tools
  • Ability to comply with customer-specific requirements

 

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with occasional approved remote flexibility
  • Exposure to shop and industrial environments as needed
  • Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, vibration, and outdoor elements
  • Required use of appropriate PPE when entering shop or service areas
