Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Deliver differentiated instruction and adapt learning materials to meet student needs.
- Collect and analyze student performance data to inform instruction.
- Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and support staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).
- Valid Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) teaching certification with endorsement in Special Education (no conditional or provisional licenses).
- At least 1 year of experience in a special education teaching environment.
- Current CPR certification (if applicable).
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable).
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Standard Elementary Teaching Certification.
- Standard Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1).
