Shift - Day Shift - 9 hour shifts, 4x9's.(07:00 AM - 04:30 PM) or Day Shift - 3x12's (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM) options available.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, exceptional patient assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering comprehensive post-operative care. As an RN PACU, you will be responsible for monitoring patients emerging from anesthesia, managing acute pain, and ensuring safe recovery in a fast-paced environment. Your role is vital in promoting optimal patient outcomes through vigilant observation, timely interventions, and collaborative communication with multidisciplinary teams.
Duties
- Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients recovering from surgical procedures, including vital signs, airway management, and level of consciousness.
- Monitor patients closely for signs of complications such as bleeding, respiratory distress, or adverse reactions to anesthesia.
- Administer medications and IV infusions with precision, adhering to prescribed protocols and safety standards.
- Provide advanced airway management and perform suturing or wound care as needed to support patient recovery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
Experience
- 2 years of PACU experience needed.
- RN OR State License.
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required.
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required.
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required.
