What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU position at Redlands Community Hospital - PACU/RECOVERY?
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional
role functions in accordance with scope of practice and professional standards,
including demonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope
of practice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards,
scope of practice for LVN and all other nursing personnel e.g. unlicensed
assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates the ability to assess their own
professional role performance, current knowledge of theory and principles
related to discipline specific practice, and the ability to use a population
based approach to determine patient needs .

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE: 1. Graduate of an accredited Registered
Nurse (RN) program required. 2. Recent appropriate nursing practice
(within past 4 years), or evidence of nursing refresher courses preferred. 3. Experience and/or training in
leadership preferred, if acting as charge nurse. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 1.
Current license as a
Registered Nurse in the State of California. 2.
Current CPR certification
required. 3.
ACLS certification preferred
upon hire, required within 90 days of hire for experienced RN’s, required
within 6 months of hire for new grad RN’s. 4.
PALS certification preferred
upon hire, required within 90 days of hire for experienced RN’s, required
within 6 months of hire for new grad RN’s. 5.
NIHSS certification required. 6.
Successful
passing of RCH basic arrhythmia course within 6 months of hire for a new grad
RN and new to specialty.
Salary : $49 - $77
