IT Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician with skilled in Fiber Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of computer management, networking, and customer service to effectively assist users with their IT needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various operating systems
• Perform fiber splicing and termination for various telecommunication projects.
• Install and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco routers and Ethernet cabling.
• Manage and troubleshoot desktop environments, ensuring optimal performance of all devices.
• Assist with computer networking tasks, including VPN setup and firewall management.
• Maintain IT infrastructure by performing regular updates and system checks.
• Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical challenges and provide timely solutions.
• Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.

Skills

• Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and computer networking principles.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and other essential software applications.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with low voltage systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $32.00 per hour

• Do you have the capacity to be away from home from an extended period of time. Jan - July. Company will reimburse for this.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Fiber Optic installation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computers & Tablets: 1 year (Preferred)
