Machine Technician

Duties

• Troubleshoot a range of CNC equipment including milling machines, lathes to produce high-quality components.
• Perform routine setup, calibration, and adjustments on CNC machinery to meet production specifications.
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with CNC equipment, Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation systems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed documentation of machine performance, maintenance activities, and quality control checks.
• Assist with materials handling, tooling setup, assembly line support, and warehouse operations as needed to support overall manufacturing efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment with hands-on knowledge of CNC machining processes.
• Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), mechanical principles, and fabrication techniques.
• Experience operating various machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and hand tools.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers accurately for quality control purposes.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining operations including forklift operation and materials handling protocols.
• Basic math skills necessary for calculating measurements and machine settings; factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred. Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
