Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of Maseto. This role leads the restaurant team, ensures exceptional guest experiences, and upholds Altura Concepts’ operational and cultural standards. The General Manager is accountable for execution, leadership, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and brand standards are consistently followed
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Leadership & Team Management
- Train, coach, and develop management and hourly team members
- Lead by example and foster a positive, accountable, and respectful culture
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
- Ensure proper staffing coverage and labor optimization
Financial & Performance Oversight
- Execute labor, food, and beverage controls to meet company targets
- Monitor operational performance and take corrective action as needed
- Ensure inventory procedures and cost controls are properly followed
- Drive sales through strong floor leadership and guest engagement
Administrative & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations
- Maintain accurate scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting through company systems
- Ensure all schedules and shifts are properly published and communicated
- Partner with Central Office on operational initiatives and reporting
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a full-service restaurant
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage labor and daily restaurant operations
- Hands-on leadership style with a guest-first mindset
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Experience
- Experience opening or stabilizing new restaurant concepts
- Familiarity with modern POS, scheduling, and communication platforms
- Background in Italian or chef-driven restaurant concepts
