Position Overview:
The Grill Master is responsible for expertly preparing grilled items to Altura Concepts’ standards, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation. This role requires experience with various grilling techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook all grilled menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure food quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding areas.
- Ensure all food is cooked safely and in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with prep work, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning proteins.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Track inventory and alert management when supplies are low.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Grill Master, Line Cook, or similar role in a restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced environment.
