Regional Sales Executive

Position: Sales Executive – Air & Ocean Freight

Location: Charlotte, NC or Remote Based in NC.

Salary: Up to $110,000 Commission Benefits

Company Overview

Our client is a growing international freight forwarder with a strong global presence across Air and Ocean freight. With continued expansion in the U.S. market, they are looking to hire a driven Sales Executive to support growth in the Charlotte region.

Role Summary

The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing new business opportunities across Air & Ocean freight, while also managing and growing existing accounts. This role requires a proactive, hunter mentality with the ability to build long-term client relationships and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across Air & Ocean freight
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing
• Develop and grow existing customer accounts
• Work closely with operations and pricing teams to deliver competitive solutions
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline
• Stay informed on market trends, trade lanes, and competitor activity

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding sales
• Strong focus on Air & Ocean freight services
• Proven track record of winning new business
• Existing client relationships and book of business preferred
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own territory
• Experience with CRM systems and internal forwarding software (CargoWise preferred)
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
