Role Overview
- Senior customs-focused role with operational and people-management responsibility
- Oversight of U.S. customs clearance activity across air and ocean freight
- Dallas-based position supporting import compliance, brokerage accuracy, and operational governance
- Hands-on execution alongside supervisory and process ownership
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end U.S. customs clearance processes in accordance with CBP regulations
- Prepare, review, and submit customs entries with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance
- Classify goods using the HTSUS and determine applicable duties, taxes, and PGA requirements
- Act as escalation point for customs holds, exams, audits, and compliance matters
- Oversee operational workflows, SOP adherence, and quality control standards
- Lead, train, and support customs and operations staff to ensure consistent performance
- Liaise with CBP, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders as required
- Maintain audit readiness and support internal and external compliance reviews
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience in U.S. customs brokerage and import operations
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, valuation, and recordkeeping
- Experience leading or supervising customs and operational teams
- Ability to remain hands-on while maintaining managerial accountability
- Familiarity with air and ocean freight operations within a forwarding environment
