A leading international freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Sales Executive – Air & Ocean Freight to drive new business growth across the Los Angeles market. Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and end-to-end supply chain solutions
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market activity
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to onboarding and account development
- Identify customer logistics challenges and present tailored freight solutions
- Develop relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, retailers, and distribution businesses across Southern California
- Collaborate closely with operations and pricing teams to deliver high service levels
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing agreements, and service contracts
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts
- Attend client meetings, industry events, and networking functions across the LA market
Ideal Background
- Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding sales experience
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight and Ocean Freight forwarding
- Proven success in winning new business and achieving GP / revenue targets
- Existing client network within Los Angeles / Southern California highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the LAX / Port of Los Angeles & Long Beach market advantageous
- Commercially sharp with strong negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
