A well-established international freight forwarder is looking to hire an experienced Sales Executive – Air & Ocean Freight to drive new business growth across the Kansas City market. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and win new business opportunities across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Supply Chain solutions
- Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, cold outreach, referrals, and market intelligence
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to onboarding new accounts
- Identify customer pain points and provide tailored freight/logistics solutions
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers where required
- Work closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth implementation
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
- Represent the business at networking events, trade functions, and client meetings
Ideal Background
- Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding sales experience
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight and Ocean Freight products
- Proven track record of winning new business and hitting revenue GP targets
- Existing customer relationships within Kansas City / Midwest market preferred
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
