Position: Business Development Manager – Air & Ocean

Compensation: Up to $130,000 commission full benefits

Role Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business across the Southeast U.S. region, with a primary focus on international Air and Ocean freight services. Based in Atlanta, this role requires a proactive hunter mentality, strong knowledge of the local market, and a proven ability to convert qualified leads into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a structured sales plan to generate new accounts across Air, Ocean, and Domestic freight services within the Southeast region
- Prospect, qualify, and close mid-to-large-scale customers with a focus on profitable growth and long-term partnerships
- Collaborate with operations, pricing, and trade lane managers to create competitive client solutions and RFQ responses
- Conduct sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations with C-level and procurement decision-makers
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent prospecting, networking, and CRM management
- Prepare weekly revenue forecasts and performance reports aligned with corporate KPIs
- Ensure all customer agreements comply with company policies and industry regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in international freight forwarding sales
- Proven track record of winning new business within Air and Ocean freight markets
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, global logistics processes, and supply chain solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
